Spartacus, the Gladiator

Noble Phantasm

The Howl of the Wounded Beast (疵獣の咆吼 Shijuu no Houkou?) is a permanently active Noble Phantasm. It turns a part of the damage received into prana, which accumulates within the user's body. The efficiency of this conversion increases as Spartacus' body condition decreases. The energy accumulated in his body can be used to boost Spartacus' abilities. If he is injured enough to be near death, he can build up enough energy to destroy everything in front of him. This relates to his excellent commander-ship and popularity, due to his habit of making his move at the last minute to save the rebel army from the Roman army. But more than that, this Noble Phantasm is the symbol of the fact that he was a hero who would always create a turn-around situation and bring victory, which is why he was so popular. When the rebel army found itself fighting in a desperate situation, victory was assured. Although he himself does not realize it, this strategy of a turn-around goes in accordance with his showmanship, which made him a popular gladiator. He has not incentive to go after the Holy Grail, but his dearest wish is only to be present in battle. He only aspires to protect the oppressed and rebel against the oppressor on the battlefield, as this is where he can take on the greatest ordeal and endure suffering.
